What I collect
- Your playlists (names and the tracks in them) - this is the whole point of the site. It reads your playlists and grabs lyrics for exactly the songs you saved, so you can find the ones stuck in your head. That's what it's all about.
- The lyrics for those songs, fetched from LRCLIB (a community lyric database) and stored so searching is instant.
- Your search history - the last 100 searches, shown on your dashboard.
Cookies
Just a few small ones: keeping you logged in, remembering your name, and keeping the login process secure. No ad trackers, no cross-site snooping. When you play a track, Spotify's embedded player runs inside the page and may set its own cookies.
Third parties
- Spotify - login and playlist access through their API, under the permissions you approve (reading playlists and saved songs; nothing in your account is ever changed). Their privacy policy is here.
- LRCLIB - the lyric database the site queries.
What I don't do
- Sell or share your data.
- Change anything in your Spotify account.
- Email you, show you ads, or build profiles on you.
- Use your data to train AI.
How to delete your data
- Remove this app's access under Spotify > Account > Apps.
- Email dev@justmysongsplease.com and ask to have your data deleted. Removing access alone doesn't erase what's already stored.
